Air conditioning, still a luxury for most car buyers, but was a very popular accessory.
So were power steering, power brakes, power windows and power front seats.
There were always plenty of accessories and options for Chevrolet dealers to promote. Most were installed at the dealer shops.

New for 1958, Autronic Eye and Speedminder plus many other accessories such as the items listed below. The Speedminder speedometer head allowed drivers to reset the maximum speed with a built-in dial. As soon as you reached the pre-set speed, a buzzer would go off. The first of automatic headlight dimming systems were called Autronic Eyes. They were first offered in 1952 for Oldsmobile and Cadillac. Both neat options not often seen.
